Talia’s Therapy Style

​Talia understands that irrespective of your age or life stage seeking help is never easy. She is committed to making clients feel comfortable and at ease and works on building the relationship from the first point of contact.

Talia is extremely passionate and dedicated to each and every client she sees. The work with Talia focuses on identifying and working through the challenges currently being faced, often by teaching new skills and methods which helps clients develop a greater awareness and capacity to manage their emotions, thoughts and behaviours more effectively. The process also helps clients uncover and access their unique strengths and capabilities, allowing them over time to resolve difficulties and achieve their potential.

Talia’s style is warm, genuine and light-hearted and the approach to treatment is holistic, pragmatic and client-centred. 

Clients can expect sessions to be practical, collaborative, and adjusted to their individual pace and needs.

Qualifications and Experience

Talia has a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and advanced training in a range of evidence-based psychological therapies including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Family Therapy, and Attachment-based interventions including Circle of Security.

Her work with both individuals and families is informed and enhanced by growing evidence in the fields of Neuroscience, Positive Psychology, Strengths-Based Therapy, Interpersonal Neurobiology, Compassion-Focused Therapy, and Evolutionary Psychology.

 

Talia is also accredited to run Circle of  Security groups and has a special interest in helping parents develop confidence and agency. She has been involved in developing and facilitating a range of parenting workshops and groups including Confident Carers Cooperative Kids, Cool Kids (Parent and Child components), and Parenting through the Ups and Downs of Adolescence.

 

Talia has a wealth of experience working with children, adolescents, parents, families and adults in both the public and private sectors across Sydney. Some of the services she has worked in include Child and Youth Mental Health Services, Headspace, private adult inpatient settings as well as private psychology practices in the Eastern Suburbs and Lower North Shore.
